Zaanse Schans
The Zaanse Schans is an Open Air Museum with its typical wooden houses and windmills still in operation. The Zaanse Schans is a small community of 40 houses just to the north of Amsterdam on the banks of the river Zaan. There used to be 700 windmills here on the turn of the 18th century, nowadays there are only 5 left.

Mediaeval towns
For a typical Dutch scenery, visit Edam, Volendam or the Delft Blue-pottery.

Cheese market
Alkmaar, where there is a famous cheese market at Waagplein, open every Friday from mid-April to mid-September, is a popular day trip.

Day sailing
Bach Yachting organises active charters on racing yachts. A unique event for beginners and experienced sailors alike. Keukenhof
The famous Keukenhof is one of the most impressive and largest gardens in the world with a great variety of flowers in beautiful colours. All types of tulips are on display here in most impressive surroundings.
